Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 103rd edition of Mann Ki Baat, announced ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign that will be launched to honour martyred brave heart men and women.
Under this, several programmes will be organised across the country in the memory of immortal martyrs.
During Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister announced the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign to honor our luminaries, with special inscriptions to be installed in village panchayats across the country. The Amrit Kalash Yatra, carrying soil in 7500 urns from every corner of India, will conclude in Delhi, along with saplings from different regions. An “Amrit Vatika” will be built near the National War Memorial, symbolizing “Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat,” merging the soil and saplings from the 7500 urns.
PM Modi praised the NDRF personnel for their commendable efforts in saving lives during floods and torrential rainfall this year. Despite facing calamities like floods, landslides, and cyclones, the collective efforts of the nation demonstrated their resilience and strength.
Furthermore, PM Modi shared the good news that America has returned over a hundred rare and ancient artifacts to India. These precious items, ranging from 2500 to 250 years old, represent various regions of the country, crafted from terracotta, stone, metal, and wood. The collection includes a mesmerizing 11th-century sandstone sculpture of an “Apsara” dancing, originating from Madhya Pradesh.
